I wasn't sure if the kids would like candy canes.
I know you are thinking...WHA??
Layla doesn't like anything peppermint flavored. Umm like toothpaste.
Yep, she hates it. Don't worry she uses toothpaste, that icky bubblegum flavored stuff. Blech! And I get a whole package of chewing gum to myself. She won't touch it. Yay for me when I remember to chew gum.
When I busted out the candy canes I was worried. I was worried Hayden would choke. He is an all or nothing kind of guy. I was expecting him to take a huge bite and run away with me chasing after him in a tissy.
Nope.
This is what they did.
They sat still and ate them.
{rare to sit still in our house}
Awesome!
So cute! I bet they only sat still until the sugar kicked in:)
ReplyDeleteWow...that is amazing. In our house we prefer to lick them until we're just sticky enough to leave them somewhere while we run around am get everything else sticky! :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable pics! My Mom gave my little guy a candy cane the other day (in the wrapper) and he had a high ol' time chewing on it, then he tore a little hole in the plastic and got a taste of it! His Grammie had to pry it out of his hands after a while. :P
ReplyDeleteJamison doesn't like mint toothpaste either, just that yucky stuff. They are cute eating their candy canes. Ahh, fun times.
ReplyDeleteAww...cute little punkins!!! :)
