our little gardener

layla couldn't wait for a trip to home depot a few weeks ago.
she had been begging us to take her to pick out some seeds.
she heard me talking to her daddy about planting flowers and couldn't wait to do her part!

she picked out seeds and planted them.  she didn't really know what she planted in her little pots.  she didn't care.  she just wants to nurture something.  she is excited to get up and water her dirt every morning.

the three pots on the table are hers.  she moves them all around the yard!

sunday morning she actually finally saw some green buds poking through the freshly watered soil.
she was so happy!  she came running to the door to call me outside to take a look.

i like her interest in gardening.  i also like that while she is watering 'her' crops she waters mine too :o)

  1. What a great little helper! I am so bad about remembering to water stuff! I bought some seed kits at Lowes for the boys a few weeks ago and we still haven't planted them!

  2. That is so sweet Angie. You might consider taking pictures of the plants each day for her and labeling them so that she can observe the differences. Oops, there I am with my teacher hat on again....sorry....lol

And I have been terrible for keeping up on twitter - but did the doctor say anything about the little misters rash? Any idea what it is?

    Thinking of you guys!
