Today was Hayden's last day of swimming lessons for this session.
He never fully relaxed and swam, but he did get a bit more comfortable with his teacher.
He needs more lessons, but I just don't know if this place is right for him.
He wouldn't float on his back. He was terrified...bless his heart.
He looks so big in this picture.
My little water boy!

Layla and I got manicures and pedicures today.
This was Layla's first time ever and she wasn't too sure about the whole thing at first.
She said the water was a little hot.
When they turned the jets on she was so happy and giggling...she loved it!
We each got a deluxe pedicure and she got a manicure.
I have heard so much about the gel manicures, so I decided to try it! It took forever for the gel to dry, but the color is supposed to stay on for a couple of weeks. I will let you know how I like it!
Matching fingers and toes! We had a fun girl date.
My munchkins! I love them to the moon and back!
I've been reading your blog for a short time now as a fellow Texan. Well, I recognized the dragon in Hayden's picture up there! We must live pretty close because I'm from Colleyville!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love your heart for your munchkins. You're such a good mama!
ReplyDeleteNolan would never float on his back after two years and he's 5! I'm looking for a new place. We just did the YMCA.
ReplyDeleteToo cute with your matching mani/pedi!
Love that you & Layla had girl time! Such a sweet memory!
ReplyDeleteAwww, such a cute H! Do tell how the gel nails work out, I've heard great things about them!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun girls date! I love when my mom is in town and we have a girls pedicure date with my mom, my 4 year old and I.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I can't wait to do that with Addi!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry things didn't go better with swimming lessons. I am a bit nervous as I just signed Lillian up snd she is known as my bathing beauty! lol I am so glad your sweet girl and you had some Mommy/daughter time!
ReplyDeletePoor little Hayden. How fun to have a mani/pedi partner!
ReplyDeleteMy poor Hayden...hopefully next time will be better. Semi private lessons seem to help with the anxiety I have heard. Mother/Daughter nail time sounds like a lot of fun. I need to do my toes before Florida. I'll be interested to hear how you like the gel nails.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to do that with my girls!!
ReplyDeleteHi Angie, I just happened on your blog not to long ago. I have a 4 y/o and he has been taking lessons at Aqua Kids. My two older kids also did swim lessons there. I would highly recommend it. (not sure where you live but there are locations in Flower Mound and Keller) Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI have a 12 y/o and we have done mani/pedis together since she was 4 or 5. It is great mom & daughter time.
Have a blessed week-end. Debbie
your poor little guy, some kids just don't care for water and swimming. my nephew is one of them. it takes him forever to get comfortable in a swimming pool and he usually doesn't last long.
ReplyDeletehopefully you will find a different place that he likes better so he can get more comfortable swimming.
what a fun mother/daughter date!! i want to get the gel on my nails and toes! i really should attempt to do that before baby ;)
cute pictures!!!
bless his heart...look at that face when floating on his back! haha
