fun in the snow!
We had a fun Sunday. We were invited to the farm owned by Gary's boss.
We sledded and drank hot chocolate and ate chili.
We were surrounded by really fun friends! The kids are sleeping good tonight for sure. They drug their sleds up and down the hill a million times.
I think walking up and down this hill was the best exercise ever!!
They rode on a sled pulled behind a Honda Atv and we laughed as we brushed snow from our eyes. Every time we turned a corner I squealed like a school girl. Layla and I laughed so hard at one point we both forgot to hold onto the handles. We almost flew off into the mounds of snow!
I know the kids will never forget this day. It was so fun!

Best {snow} day EVER!
When we woke up this morning and looked out the playroom window we saw a winder wonderland. The kids squealed with delight and ran to put on warm clothes to play in the snow!
Layla LOVED the snow. She loved every single bit of this day!
Hayden doesn't look to happy, but he was. As long as his hands stayed warm he was good to go!
Layla had so much fun nurturing her snowman. She was a sweet momma creator.
It was all fun and games until Daisy at the carrot nose and eyes. Stinker dog.
SNOW BALL FIGHT!
Hayden was laughing so hard after he got snow in his face.
This is the day we have been waiting for since we moved to Ohio. We loved seeing the snow and loved playing in it. It is still snowing outside, so hopefully we will have fresh powder in the morning.

cleaning up and hoping the germs go away!
I am finally feeling better. Every passing day the sickie germs are leaving my body. Today I felt good enough to put the Christmas decorations away. I still need to vacuum and get the house feeling totally clean, but I am taking lots of breaks. I don't want to do too much and feel yucky again. I hate being sick and can't wait to feel 100% like myself again.
I am feeling so sentimental today. I'm loving being home with these two babes while they are on Christmas break. I'm thankful I get to be a stay at home mom so I can enjoy these snowy, cold days at home. If I worked away from home I have no idea who would keep these little munchkins. Thankfully I get to be here! Gary likes it too! I think he likes dinner hot and ready when he gets home from work. And on that note I am heading into the kitchen to make banana bread and start dinner.

Christmas 2012
We had a great Christmas day! We all stayed in our pajamas all day long and before we went to bed we changed into clean pajamas. It was so fun for the kids to be here and play with their new toys all day long. We got 3 new Wii games and so Gary and I had fun too. I love playing games as a family, but they usually laugh at me because I get so mad when I lose.
Here are the kiddos right before we headed downstairs for the day.
I just love seeing their happy faces....
until they get downstairs and see their gifts.
Hayden said, BUT I WANTED A REAL GUITAR.
The boy was SO mad until he heard the guitar being played. Then we was good with it and hasn't set it down since!
Layla was thrilled with her Furby. I named it Snowflake. She still calls it Furby.
Hayden loves his rockin' cool guitar.
Layla got a bear-ish looking animal. It's an inkoo and you can color it and the ink is washable. She has colored it twice and I have washed it twice. It really is cool. She loves this thing. She loves it even more that she can change it's look.
Layla is showing Hayden how his laptop works.
Hayden loves all his gifts, but LOVES his wallet with attached chain.
He the wallet/chain concept a Disney Channel show and has been asking for one for weeks. It is the cutest thing when he asks me to hook it to his pajamas. haha! He makes me laugh.
Layla was an awesome helper in the kitchen.
We made monkey bread. It was a great Christmas Day breakfast served with eggs and bacon.
Gary surprised me with a new Keurig! We have a regular coffee maker, but I have been asking for a Keurig for months. We had Christmas coffee all day long!
I'm sorta thankful for a fun day of playing with toys and video games. I am feeling terrible and can't seem to kick this cold. I'm hoping I'll feel better soon!
Merry Christmas!!

Christmas Eve
I'm still feeling pretty crummy, but the Christmas festivities must go on!
The kids were bouncing off the walls today with excitement and anticipation.
I am really sad that we weren't able to attend Christmas Eve services tonight. I couldn't stop coughing and sniffling long enough. It didn't seem right for me to get other families sick on Christmas Eve.
We made the best of our day. The kids opened a few of their presents and we put them to good use. We had a Wii tournament. They each got a new Wii game and we also got a family game we can all four play together. We had a fun time playing except I am really way to competitive. I get so frustrated when I can't play and WIN. All of my people laugh at me when I get all riled up. It burns me up! haha!
This evening we had an early dinner and did a king crab leg boil. We boiled corn, potatoes and crab legs and dipped it all in a butter bath. It was awesome! The kids had a great time and so did Gary and I. It was a fun dinner and I think the kids love crab legs!
We baked chocolate chip cookies for Santa, but Layla decided he needed frosting and sprinkles too.
Mmmmm! Cookies are yum.
Tonight my sweet tooth is out of control. I just want to eat every cookie in sight!
Our Christmas tradition lives on. We all got a brand new pair of PJ's and Layla and I promptly changed from one set of pj's to another. We have been Laaaay.Zeeee!
The babes sprinkled reindeer food and then we tucked them into bed for the night. I bet it took them a whole hour to calm themselves down for the night. I remember that feeling though. I just loved Christmas as a kid and I still do. I'm just a kid myself, but now I love giving more than getting. I love to see the joy in the kids eyes on Christmas morning.
Merry Christmas Eve everyone and Happy Birthday to Jesus!
