tomato, basil & melted feta cheese




Gary and I are trying to eat healthy but not skimp on good food and good flavor.






I sliced 2 tomatoes and laid them in a small baking dish.
 I topped the tomatoes with 2 ounces of tomato basil flavored feta cheese. 
{a block of cheese he brought home from WI}





I popped the tomatoes topped with cheese into the broiler and left them for about 5-7 minutes.
I took them out and topped with salt, pepper and a few sprinkles of basil.

I drizzled a tiny bit of olive on on top and put them back into the hot broiler for another 3 minutes.






We were truly impressed with our treat!

It is a must try for an appetizer, lunch or side dish for dinner.
