Columbus Day

The kids didn't have school today because of Columbus day.

They were feeling really crafty and were begging me to get out their water color paints.  Well.....since I've been slowly packing the house for our move to Ohio I threw away their dried up paints.  We ended up going to our local Dollar General to get a few things.

They each got 2 coloring books and their own set of paints.  Layla said Hayden always mixes colors and oh the horror of mixed water color paints.  They also begged for a bag of Funyuns.  Who can resist eating an entire bag of oniony goodness?  I stole a few rings of goodness and didn't tell MyFitnessPal about them.

Poor Hayden.  He does whatever his sister wants him to do.  He asked for his Woody and Buzz Lightyear costumes, but I packed them into boxes too.  Soooooo...poor little man is sporting a Repunzel wig and this get up.

Once the morning coolness wore off the kids played outside in the backyard all afternoon.  It turned out to be a beautiful fall day here in Texas.

I decided to take a few pictures of my mums.  They are just so pretty and I am loving the color yellow right now.

That is our Columbus Day in a nutshell. The kids are tucked in tight and Layla has her clothes picked out for picture day tomorrow.  I am DVR'ing the season premier of  90210.  That is on my schedule for tonight!

Also please check out my friend Jenn's blog post about donating to the Silent Auction for Julee and Preslee Turner.  I know Julee through this wonderful blog/twitter network and I have always felt a connection to her through our love for dogs.  Sadly she lost her husband on Saturday in an automobile accident.  We are rallying around her right now to help her in any way we can.  I will be donating some really fun yellow Thirty-One things to be auctioned in the Silent Auction next week.
