It started to rain while we were swimming, so we showered and hit the bowling lanes. Hayden is really loving perfecting his bowling skills. Gary bowled a turkey, 3 strikes in a row! Woo hoo. I bowled awful and Layla just loved the light show. What a fun Saturday night!!

summer rain!!
The kids were sad when they woke up and it was raining. They knew they wouldn't get to swim in the pool. And then I reminded them that playing in the rain was super fun!!
Hayden especially liked getting dirty and muddy. He is always the first one to splash in all the muddy water puddles! Woo hoo! We love summer!

this is one for the memory book!
My lovely children decided to fight like cats and dogs earlier this week. He was mad, she was crying and they were yelling ... he kicked her in the head and she smacked him. #CALGONNNNNN!
So what did I do?
I made them wear the 'Get-along' shirt. I asked Hayden to go upstairs and get one of dad's shirts. Then I made them squeeze into it together and stand there for a few minutes. They were not very happy with me, but they did it and I really didn't hear to much from them the rest of the day. It worked!!
And thennnnn I said I was going to post a picture of them online.
Layla was mortified, but one day she will look back and giggle. Heeeheeeeheee!

ready, set, go...
This girl got her impressions and x-rays today.
She's on her way to getting an expander, braces and a retainer.
It's officially time for momma to get a J.O.B!
In all seriousness, she did great. She was worried and a tad nervous about the molds, but she did just fine! I'm so glad I get to log her process. I wish I could remember my whole braces and retainer process as a teenager, but I just can't. Things have changed so much since I was a child. It's crazy different, but I'm trusting in the process!
Cheeeeessssseeeee!

all boy and then some
Hayden is loving his bike. Once he learned to ride he's been on it every day since, even in the rain!
He was overly thrilled to ride his bike through every puddle he could find. He got super duper dirty and asked me to take pictures to send to Gary at work. He knew daddy would be proud of his muddy back!

Father's Day 2014
I have the best daddy ever and I'm so thankful for him. He's such a great grandfather!
I also have a great husband who's an amazing daddy too.
The kids and I are blessed indeed!
We had a wonderful day eating and playing and celebrating!
Gary smoked a baconator and pork for pork sandwiches!
It was a wonderful day!

Summer rain = bowling!
My best friend, Erin, and I signed our kiddos up for 'kids bowl free' all summer long!
Each kid gets to bowl 2 free games a day all summer long. All we pay for is shoe rental. Cool huh?!?
I know we won't bowl every day, but having the option is so nice!
I sure do love these four kiddos!!

Time for a checkup!
I waited until the kids were out of school so they could help me take the puppies to the veterinarian.
I knew I'd need help wrangling the heathen dogs up the steep flight of stairs to the vets office. Once we got inside they were great patients.
Lily and Daisy both got their shots and checkups. They are both perfectly healthy canines!
We sure do love these pretty pups. I'm thankful for them everyday and even more thankful to know we rescued them from the shelter!

sleepover in the backyard
Our favorite part of summer is staying up late, so we decided to have a campout in the backyard with friends. It was big time fun! It was a little different from any other time we've used our pop-up trailer. We didn't use the air conditioner, we used a small heater. In June!!! Crazy, but fun!
